CEO & Founder

Euclid is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Energy Alliance LLC (BEA). Euclid formed BEA to realize the vision of applying technology to bring economical clean energy to business customers, and in doing so he partnered with Dynapower Company and PDE Total Energy Solutions, the leaders in their respective fields in engineering the integration of renewable energy and energy storage.

Euclid served on the Board of Directors of Green Mountain Power Corporation (an electric utility and subsidiary of GazMetro Limited Partnership) where he also chaired the Audit Committee.  Euclid served as a Trustee of the Law School Foundation for the University of Virginia School of Law, where he continues as an Honorary Trustee. 

Before forming BEA, Euclid practiced corporate law at international law firms in New York.  Early in his legal career, he practiced law in Tokyo for the Japanese law firm of Anderson, Mori & Rabinowitz.  He was a corporate partner in the New York law firm of Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon; a corporate partner and head of the Financial Services Practice at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in New York; and senior counsel in the Energy Group of Jones Day, where he was co-leader of the loan guarantee and nuclear energy initiatives.

 

With the early focus of BEA on the Caribbean, Euclid has spoken at renewable energy and desalination conferences in Martinique and Trinidad.  Euclid’s legal career always had an international flavor, representing international and US domestic clients on power projects in Mexico, South America and South Asia and nuclear power related matters in the USA.

 

Euclid graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Science and from the University of Virginia Law School with JD.

Tony Valentine

Tony Valentine

CFO

Tony has many years of experience in the finance and energy industries. Prior to Odysseus, Tony was a Principal of Power Holdings & Development LLC, a firm that focuses on all aspects of project development within the electricity generation sector. Tony was CFO for Kafus Industries, an American Stock Exchange listed company that manufactured medium density fiberboard from waste wood, where he directed project development and capital raising efforts. Prior to Kafus Industries, Tony was at Enron, GE Capital, and JP Morgan Chase, where he concentrated on the power and oil and gas industries. Tony began his career at Shell Oil where he was an Engineer for Shell Offshore Inc.

 

Tony is a graduate of The University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Alex Sugiura

Alex Sugiura

Director of Marketing

Alex Sugiura is a marketing professional with a wealth of international experience managing events and activations for clients like the International Olympic Committee at the Sochi Games of 2014, where he also reported on life in the athlete’s village. He has written for websites, such as The Race Card Project, and was profiled in National Geographic’s The Changing Faces of America. He also has a lifelong love of music, telling stories with audio, and has been a featured guest on NPR’s Morning Edition.

He received a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College and is fluent in Spanish.
